WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY:

20 Plastic Cups (20oz/0.4l)

2 Table Tennis Balls

2 Water Cups

1 Beer Pong Table

2 to 4 Players

SETTING UP THE GAME:

Place 10 cups in a triangular formation at both ends of the table. Roughly divide 2 cans of beer (please note that this can be played with any beverage) equally between the cups. The water cup should be set up on the side and to be used to clean the ball in between throws.

PLAYING THE GAME:

Both teams stand at opposite ends of the table behind their respective triangle of cups. Each team then takes it in turns to throw their table tennis ball at the opposing team's triangle of cups, with the hope of getting the ball to land in one of them. Whenever this happens, the non-throwing team must drink the contents of that cup and the cup is removed from play.

The objective of the game is to have the opposition team drink all their cups of beer before you have drunk all of yours. Once you have done this you have won!

Pretty simple eh? Just some key points to remember:

• The thrower has to have his/her feet on the floor when taking his/her shot.

• You are allowed to block or deflect a ball thrown by the opposition, but only once it has touched the table.

• If the throwing team knocks a cup over then the cup is lost and must be removed.

That's basically all the info you need to get started playing Beer Pong, but for a more comprehensive list please see the printable Student Beer Pong Rules (below) or see our instructional video in the Gallery/Video section of the website.

Obviously Beer Pong is a true game of the people with many variations played right across the world, some using different drinks or perhaps additional forfeits during the game. Please feel free to send us your own "house rules" should they differ from our own so we can continue to grow the site in to a comprehensive Beer Pong resource.
